My Teaching Tip
My Teaching Tip-1 One-Minute Exit Ticket: Gauge Understanding on the Fly Purpose: Quickly assess student comprehension at the end of a lesson to identify areas needing review and inform future instruction. Materials: Index cards or slips of paper Pens or pencils Time: 1-2 minutes Logistics: Distribute: At the end of your lesson, give each student an index card or slip of paper. Pose the Question: Write a clear, concise question on the board that targets the key learning objective of the lesson. Example (for a math lesson): "Summarize the steps to solve a one-step equation." Example (for a science lesson): "Describe the difference between photosynthesis and cellular respiration." One-Minute Response: Instruct students to write their answer on the card/slip silently for one minute. Collect & Review: Quickly gather the responses. Briefly scan them to identify any common misconceptions or areas where students struggled. Additional Information:...
